Spotify or Joox? Which one is better?

For music lovers <like me>, this two apps is no longer a stranger to the ears. Most of us must have used or at least heard of one of this app before. Because as we're all know, portability is what majority of people nowadays are seeking for. Moreover, using these apps will eventually save up your phone's memory since it's basically a streaming app which mean your data isn't in your phone but stored in the server. All you have to do is make an account and your playlist can be taken anywhere as long as you have internet connection, well you can simply called this technology as synchronization. This is very useful for those who struggle to have a phone with no external memory. Not to forget that it's legal. By listening to the songs, it means we are also helping the artist itself. Let me take you to the further details of these two!~

Interface
From the interface aspect, Spotify doesn't seem to give extra attention in making it attractive. They choose simplicity as their interface concept. A really good choice for user with smartphone from low-middle class which is not provided with high-end processor and low capacity RAM.
Contrary to Spotify, Joox goes all out for the interface. They blessed the user's with choices of theme which can be applied, making the apps more pleasant and attractive to see. But the consequence of this is that this take much of the RAM. Low class phone will certainly lagged. Well, the phrase "Beauty is pain" is true after all.

Songs Collection
Started the bussiness earlier than its rival, Spotify has more songs in store. They are also up to date to the recently released songs. This is a good news for people who can't wait to hear the songs in the album, I mean while waiting for the physical album to arrives they can have a head start. Well, also a good thing for those who can't afford to buy the physical album but still can support their favs in music chart since it's counted as legal!
Both Joox and Spotify provides music catalog with various category. Mood, Genre, Editors' Picks, and Top Hits are available to help you explore the music that suit your current needs and taste.
Additional feature which makes a pretty huge comparison is the availability of lyrics feature in Joox. It's known that Spotify used to have this feature on desktop, but not anymore. So, for this matter, Joox has succesfully gained the heart of those who is a fan of karaoke or just.. understanding the song?

Price
Spotify and Joox each offer 30days free trial for the premium version. This is really important factor before making up your mind whether it's worth the price or not to buy the premium version. Let me help you choose where your money belong to!
The free version of Spotify won't let you play the songs to your liking, means that you can fully listen to all the songs in a playlist but on shuffle, no skip, no choosing. <Just think of it as if you're listening to the radio> But, this limitation doesn't apply for the desktop version. You can skip the song, choose whatever song you like, BUT.. With some disturbances of adds in the middle of transition between songs. So, if you can't stand the limitation of not being able to press the skip button then you have no choice other than upgrading your Spotify to premium. The premium version also offers you to download the songs to be played offline. You need to pay for Rp. 49.990 / month with various methods of payment.
Different from Spotify, Joox has its own limitation. Lot of songs from popular artist get labelled as VIP, which means you can only listen to the songs if you have the premium access. Downloading the song to be played offline is not possible too without the premium. Ugh. But the good news is that you can always have 1-Day access to the premium if you share a song to your Facebook or WeChat. A really good marketing strategy especially for Indonesian who tend to use this chance to give 'code' to someone or express their current feelings through a song hahahaha

So, how is it guys? Have you decide where those money of yours truly belong to? Despite the plus and minus each app have, for me personally, both of them are excellent music streaming service for different reasons. And if you've never tried them, you should definitely give it a go. Especially if you're always in search of songs that will best suited your mood and you're just too bored to repeat the same old songs in your playlist. As we can see from my comparison above, they have much in common, so in those small differences we believe that can affect your decision between them. Happy choosing!

P.s : I'll insert some pictures later since I'm facing some troubles here ugh so sorry.
